Private ski lessons in Andorra

Prices per session, for one person or up to 6 people of the same level. The resort lift pass is extra — I explain how it works below.

2-hour lesson

€120 / lesson

The most focused option: two hours of 100% attention on you, with no groups or waiting.

Ideal for:

  • Fixing one specific technical issue
  • Assessing your level before booking more
  • Days when you're short on time but want to make the most of it
Book a 2-hour lesson

4-hour lesson

€220 / lesson

The most popular option. It gives you what a three-day group course doesn't: real technical work and time to consolidate.

Ideal for:

  • Beginners who want to make real progress
  • Intermediates who've been stuck for seasons
  • Families who want to use the whole morning
Book a 4-hour lesson

6-hour lesson

€380 / lesson

A full day. A morning of intensive technical work; an afternoon of free runs and lesser-known sectors.

Ideal for:

  • Few days in Andorra and not wanting to waste any
  • Advanced skiers who want to discover new areas
  • Groups spending the whole day together
Book a full day

“From” prices, a guide for mid-season; they may rise in high season. Lift passes and equipment hire are not included. At Ordino Arcalís, my base, I teach lessons of any length; at Grandvalira and Pal Arinsal the minimum booking is half a day. I've been teaching in Andorra for 5 seasons: in a 6-hour day there's time to take you to places most visitors never find.

No surprises

What's included in the price?

Before booking, it's worth knowing exactly what you're paying for and what's extra.

What's included in every session

Whichever length you choose, you always get:

  • A level assessment before we start. The first few minutes are for watching you ski or talking with you. The plan is built from there, not from a form.
  • 100% exclusive attention. No other students. All the time is for you or your group.
  • The same instructor every day. If you book several days, it's me every day. No reassignments.
  • Feedback at the end of every session. What you've improved, what we'll work on tomorrow and what to practise on your own.
  • Guaranteed language. English, Spanish or Catalan, confirmed when you book.
  • Real-time piste recommendations. I know which runs are in the best condition depending on the time and sector.

What's paid separately

The resort lift pass. To ski you need a valid lift pass: day, multi-day, season (Andorra Pass) or Plus+. Beginner or pedestrian passes don't give access to the main pistes. If you're not sure which to buy for your days, message me and I'll advise you, no strings attached.

Ski equipment. If you don't have your own kit, you can hire it at shops a few minutes from any resort. A full set (skis, boots, poles, helmet) costs around €25–40 a day, well maintained and fitted to your size on the spot.

How much does a ski instructor cost in Andorra? Private vs ski school

Group lesson prices at Andorra's ski schools

The main schools — Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís, Pal Arinsal — offer group lessons along these lines (approximate 2025-26 prices):

  • Adult group lessons (multi-day package): from €96 in low season, from €154 in high season
  • Length: 3 hours a day · Ratio: 6–10 students per instructor
  • Instructor: not guaranteed to be the same each day · Language: subject to availability
  • Start: Monday or Saturday depending on the sector, with no flexibility on times

For 3 days of group lessons, the total is around €140–160. It looks cheaper, but it's a mixed-level group, 3 hours a day with divided attention and a possible change of instructor.

Private lesson prices with your own instructor

LengthPrice fromPer person for 2Per person for 4
2 hours€120€60€30
4 hours€220€110€55
6 hours€380€190€95

Total price for the group, up to 6 people. The more people, the lower the cost each.

What you get in return: exclusive attention, always the same instructor, a confirmed language, flexible times, personal feedback and access to the corners of the resort that only someone who's skied here for years knows.

When is each option better value?

Choose a group lesson if:

  • You have 5 or more days and budget is the main factor
  • You're on your own and fancy skiing in a group
  • Your level is similar to the group's and you don't mind the group pace

Choose private lessons with me if:

  • You have 2–4 days and want to make the most of them
  • You're travelling with family or friends of different levels
  • You've been stuck for seasons and want real technical correction
  • Someone in your group is skiing for the first time and needs individual attention
  • You want a guaranteed language and, with kids, always the same instructor

My rule of thumb: if you have few days and progress matters, private lessons are better value than they seem. If you have a week and budget comes first, group lessons can make sense.

Family ski lesson in Andorra with Marc

Groups and families

Better value for groups and families

The lesson price is for the instructor's service, not per person: the more of you there are, the lower the cost each.

Groups of friends: how many can come together?

Up to 6 people can share the same lesson with the same instructor, as long as their level is similar. In a group, the maths changes a lot:

  • 4-hour lesson for 6 people: €220 in total → about €37 per person
  • 6-hour lesson for 4 people: €380 in total → €95 per person

Families with children at different levels

This is where the difference with ski school shows most. With me there are several ways to organise it: separate mornings and afternoons together, a joint session if levels aren't too different, or an instructor focused on the kids while the adults ski on their own.

Availability

When should you book to get a place?

Places with a private instructor aren't unlimited. Here's what happens depending on the time of year:

High season — Christmas, Easter and the February holidays

The busiest weeks of the year. Places fill up 2 or 3 weeks ahead. If your trip falls on these dates, book as soon as they're confirmed. I can put you on a waiting list and let you know if there's a cancellation.

Mid-season — January and March

More flexibility and less pressure: there's usually availability a week ahead. Prices are also at the lower end of the range and the pistes are less crowded; for many people, the best time of year in Andorra.

For the 2026-27 season, Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís are due to open on 4 December 2026 and close on 4 April 2027, snow permitting.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about lesson prices

How much does a private ski instructor cost in Andorra?

My prices are by the hour: 2 hours from €120, 4 hours from €220 and a full 6-hour day from €380. The price is for the instructor's service, for a group of up to 6 people of the same level, not per person. The more of you there are, the lower the cost each, and the resort lift pass is bought separately.

Does the lesson price include the lift pass?

No, they're two separate things. The lesson price covers only the instructor's service; the lift pass — which gives access to the lifts and pistes — is bought separately at the resort or online. You need a valid pass (day, multi-day, season or Plus+); pedestrian or beginner passes aren't valid on the main pistes. If you're not sure which suits you, I'll advise you, no strings attached.

Is a group lesson or a private instructor cheaper?

At first glance group lessons are cheaper: a multi-day package costs around €96–154 depending on the season. But in a group lesson there are 6 to 10 people of different levels, 3 hours a day of shared attention and a possible change of instructor. In a private lesson all the time is yours, you progress twice as fast and I'm always your instructor. With only a few days, private lessons are better value per hour of real progress.

How much is a ski lesson per person if we go as a group?

The price is per lesson, not per person, so in a group the cost each drops a lot. For example: a 4-hour lesson for 6 people (€220) works out at about €37 per person, and a 6-hour lesson for 4 people (€380) at €95 per person. The only condition is that the group has a similar level. Up to 6 people can share the same lesson.

What exactly does the price of a private lesson include?

It includes an assessment of your level before we start, 100% exclusive attention with no other students, the same instructor every day you book, feedback at the end of each session, piste recommendations based on the day's conditions and a guaranteed language (English, Spanish or Catalan). The lift pass and equipment hire, if you don't have your own kit, are paid separately.

Do I pay in advance or on the day of the lesson?

We'll discuss it when you book, depending on your situation. The usual approach is to confirm the booking in advance to secure the day and time, especially in high season when places go fast. No odd contracts or small print: I'll give you a fixed price before you confirm anything.

Do prices change between high and low season?

Yes, as everywhere in Andorra. My prices start from €120 (2h), €220 (4h) and €380 (6h), and those “from” prices are for mid-season. In the busiest weeks — Christmas, Easter and the February holidays — the price may go up a little. January and March are the best weeks: lower prices and less crowded pistes.

How much does it cost to learn to ski from scratch in Andorra?

It depends on how many days you put in. Most adults starting from scratch are skiing blue runs on their own after 3 days of lessons. With three 4-hour sessions (€220 each) you'd be looking at around €660 in lessons to go from never having skied to getting down runs on your own, plus the lift pass and equipment. What works best is continuity: three days in a row go further than three spread out.

Can I book just one lesson, or do I have to book a package?

You can book a single session with no package commitment. Many people book a 2-hour lesson to fix a specific issue or assess their level, and decide from there. I don't sell compulsory fixed packages: you choose how many sessions and how long, and we adjust as we go.

Why book a private instructor if the resort's ski school is cheaper?

Because you're paying for different things. At ski school you buy a place in a group: an instructor assigned on the day, who may change from day to day, with the group setting the pace and the language subject to availability. With me you know in advance who'll be with you, I'm the same every day, you set the pace and your language is confirmed from the moment you book. It's not more expensive for the sake of it: it's a different service.
